Entry to Melbourne High School, Mac.Robertson Girls' High School, Nossal High School and Suzanne Cory High School is decided by a test sat in Year 8 for Year 9 entry. Preparation programs run through Year 7 and 8.
- SEAL and scholarships come earlier
Select Entry Accelerated Learning programs at government schools and scholarship tests at independent schools bring Year 5 and 6 families into centres.
- VCE is the senior market
With Units 3 and 4 the focus, past-paper practice at the centre and a study score on the line.
- The west and the south-east grow fastest
New suburbs, new families, new centres opening a second site within a few years. Consistency across sites becomes the pain.

Whose material is it?
The Statutory Education Licence under the Copyright Act 1968 covers tutoring organisations, which is what makes copying from published texts legitimate for a licensed centre. Material you wrote yourself needs no licence. Confirm your position with your own adviser.
