Centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch are re-sequencing years of notes and practice sets to the updated standards. Converting while you revise means the revised version is the one that goes on the platform.

- The copyright position is different
A for-profit New Zealand centre is not an educational establishment under the Copyright Act 1994, so self-authored material is the safer base. Most good NZ centres wrote most of theirs.

- Revising material for the new standards is happening now, which is the right moment to convert it.
Whose material is it?
Under the Copyright Act 1994 an educational establishment must be not conducted for profit, so a commercial tutoring centre cannot rely on the educational copying exceptions and generally needs a CLNZ business licence to copy published material. Material you wrote yourself needs no licence. In New Zealand we ask one extra question at upload: how much of this did you write yourself? Confirm your position with your own adviser.
